Before you start
Check your access
- You must be listed on the TeamSnap roster and able to open the team schedule.
- Use a web browser rather than the mobile subscription shortcut so you can copy the link for UpNext.
Part 1
Copy the link from TeamSnap
- Sign in to TeamSnap on the web and open the team.
- Open Schedule, then Settings.
- Choose Sync Calendar / Export.
- Choose the full calendar if TeamSnap asks whether you want all events or games only.
- Copy the calendar subscription link provided for an iCal-compatible calendar.
Provider note: A calendar subscription keeps updating. TeamSnap’s text or CSV export is not the same thing and should not be pasted into UpNext.
Part 2
Add the link to UpNext
- Open UpNext Family, go to Settings, choose Connected calendars, then choose Manage or Add → Add calendar.
- On “Where does your schedule live?”, choose Calendar link.
- Expand “Need help finding a calendar link?” and choose TeamSnap; follow the short cue.
- Paste the private subscription URL into the calendar link field, then choose Preview and continue.
- On “Who is this for?”, choose the family member and enter the group name and activity. Season and notes are optional.
- Choose Review import, check the schedule preview, then choose Import calendar.
Part 3
Confirm that it is working
Open Settings, then choose Connected calendars. The new calendar should show its provider, upcoming-event count, and an OK status after the first import. Use Refresh calendars → Check now later to ask connected calendars for current changes.
UpNext displays only a redacted source address after import. It does not show the private path, query, or token again.
Troubleshooting
If the calendar does not load
- If Sync Calendar / Export is missing, make sure you opened an individual team schedule and are signed into the roster account.
- If only games appear, repeat the process and choose the full calendar rather than games only.
- If the schedule later stops updating, replace the UpNext feed with a newly copied TeamSnap subscription link.
- Make sure you copied a subscription URL beginning with webcal://, http://, or https:// — not an ordinary event page.
- If the provider only gives you a downloaded .ics file, return to Add Calendar and choose Calendar file. That is a one-time import and will not refresh automatically.
Evidence
How this guide was checked
TeamSnap’s current Playbook documents a copyable iCalendar link for other calendar programs. This guide uses the web flow because it exposes the link directly.
Verification boundary: the instructions were checked against public documentation. No private team account or live family feed was used for this page.
UpNext Family is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by TeamSnap or any other provider named here.
